I graduated from high school with honors and graduated from George Fox University in 2015 with a B.S. in Biology, two years early.
Experience
I taught both high school and middle school classes for 2 years, full time at C.S. Lewis Academy in Newberg, OR. I developed and implemented daily and unit lessons for middle and high school science, math, and language arts classes. Besides teaching for the school, I have had seven independent tutoring jobs for middle and high school students in the past two years. My other experience includes running a science outreach program for Xerox, in which I designed and implemented hands-on science classes in collaboration with the Portland Public Schools, and teaching a forensic science class for the Newberg Parks and Recreation which involved writing the curriculum and lesson plans and teaching the class. I have also designed and taught unique and hands-on science labs for middle school homeschool families who needed a lab portion for their science curriculum. While at George Fox, I TA'd for three biology classes, two of which were upper level classes. For two consecutive years while at George Fox University, I taught science classes for home school kids through the Science Outreach Program, which involves writing a curriculum and lesson plans for the class. Besides teaching and tutoring, I have had a great deal of experience leading and counseling small and large groups of kids, working for Camp Tilikum, in Newberg, as one of their camp counselors and part of the recreation staff since 2013.

Hobbies
I love working with kids and am very dedicated and patient. Teaching is my passion and I love being able to inspire children to actually enjoy learning and believe in themselves and their capability to learn, no matter their background and abilities. Some things I like to do outside of work are rock climbing, dancing, white water rafting, baking and reading.
